1 Bedroom Apartments for Rent in Ottawa
The most common rental in central Ottawa, and the one with the widest choice of building, street and price.
Available in Centretown, New Edinburgh, Sandy Hill, The Glebe, Westboro.
The default Ottawa rental
One-bedroom apartments make up the bulk of central Ottawa's rental stock, and the bulk of ours. That abundance is worth using: with this many units across five neighbourhoods, the question stops being whether you can find a one-bedroom and becomes which trade-offs you want to make.
The main ones are age and location. A one-bedroom in a heritage building in Sandy Hill or the Glebe tends to offer higher ceilings, larger rooms and more character, with older windows and no in-suite laundry. A newer unit offers the reverse. Both exist within a few blocks of each other in most of our neighbourhoods, often at overlapping rents.
Choosing between neighbourhoods
Because one-bedrooms exist across all five of our neighbourhoods, the neighbourhood decision matters more than the unit type. Centretown is the choice for walking to a downtown office. The Glebe trades a slightly longer commute for Bank Street and the canal. Westboro puts the river and its shops at the door. Sandy Hill sits next to the university and has the best transit access of the group. New Edinburgh is the quietest, and the hardest to find a vacancy in.
Each neighbourhood guide on this site covers the practical detail — transit, groceries, schools, noise — so the choice can be made on more than a photograph.
Common questions
How much is a one-bedroom apartment in Ottawa?
It depends on neighbourhood, building age and whether parking or utilities are included. The live range across our own one-bedroom units is shown above, and each listing gives its own rent.
Do one-bedroom apartments come with parking?
Some buildings offer parking as a separate monthly cost; in the densest parts of Centretown and the Glebe, spots are limited. If you drive daily, confirm parking before committing to a unit.
Which neighbourhood has the most one-bedrooms?
The Glebe holds the largest share of our portfolio, followed by Centretown and Sandy Hill. All five neighbourhoods we manage in have one-bedroom units.
